Dosage for the Houseplant Starter Pack

15 ml = 1 tablespoon

5 ml = 1 teaspoon

Use in an alternating rhythm

• Houseplant Formula
  5–15 ml per 1 liter water
  Apply as the base fertiliser through watering around the roots. Start with 5 ml for young, small, recently repotted or sensitive plants. Use 8–15 ml for established houseplants, tropical plants and other indoor plants during active growth.
• Sea-Prime through watering around the roots
  5–10 ml per 1 liter water
  Use this as the standard Sea-Prime application method for regular support. Apply the diluted solution to slightly moist potting soil and distribute it evenly around the root zone.
• Sea-Prime as a foliar spray
  2–5 ml per 1 liter water
  Use for fast, targeted support during active growth, recovery or when root uptake is temporarily limited by unfavourable growing conditions. Apply a light, even mist to both sides of the leaves, paying particular attention to the undersides.

Use this starter pack in an alternating rhythm: apply Houseplant Formula for one feeding, Sea-Prime for the next and then return to Houseplant Formula. Continue repeating this alternating cycle throughout the active growing period. You do not need to mix or apply both products during the same feeding.

How often to use

During active growth, follow the alternating program with one feeding every 10–14 days. Regular feeding at a suitable dosage works better than occasional heavy feeding.

Adjust the dosage and frequency according to the season, available light, room temperature, pot size, plant size and rate of growth. Always apply Houseplant Formula through watering around the roots, preferably to slightly moist potting soil.

Seasonal feeding guide

• March–April
  Start lightly
  Begin with a low dosage as natural light increases and active growth resumes. Gradually increase it as the plants become established and their growth strengthens.
• May–September
  Feed every 10–14 days
  Follow the alternating program regularly while houseplants, tropical plants and other indoor plants are actively producing new leaves, shoots, roots or flowers.
• October onward
  Reduce gradually
  Reduce the dosage or extend the interval between feedings as natural light levels decline and growth slows. Pause feeding plants that enter a resting period.

Important: The highlighted months are indicative. Follow the plant’s growth rate, available light and indoor growing conditions rather than the calendar alone. Houseplants growing actively throughout winter under sufficient natural or artificial light may still be fed at a lighter dosage or longer interval. Plants kept in warmer, brighter rooms may require more regular feeding than plants in cooler or darker conditions.

Sea-Prime through the roots or leaves?

For regular support within the alternating program, apply Sea-Prime through watering around the roots at 5–10 ml per 1 liter water. Foliar application at 2–5 ml per 1 liter water offers a faster, more targeted option when you want to apply Sea-Prime directly to the leaves. You do not need to use both application methods during the same Sea-Prime treatment.

Using Sea-Prime as a foliar spray

Spray preferably early in the morning or later in the day and never in direct sunlight. Apply a light, even mist to both sides of the leaves and pay particular attention to the undersides, where most stomata are located.

Do not apply Sea-Prime as a foliar spray during strong sunlight or high temperatures, when the leaves are already wet or when the plant is positioned close to a heat source. Avoid spraying flowers and plants with leaves that are naturally sensitive to moisture.

Important

• Always dilute the selected product with water before use.
• Shake both bottles well before use.
• Preferably use the mixed solution on the same day.
• Do not apply the solution around the roots to completely dry potting soil.
• Always begin with the lowest dosage for young or sensitive plants.
• Apply Houseplant Formula around the roots only; do not use it as a foliar spray.
• Do not apply Sea-Prime as a foliar spray in direct sunlight, during high temperatures or when the leaves are already wet.
• Avoid spraying flowers and plants with leaves that are sensitive to moisture.
• Keep tightly closed and store in a cool, dark, dry and frost-free place between 5 °C and 30 °C.
• Natural sedimentation may occur; this is normal for products made from plant-based raw materials.

  Supports cell structure and natural resistance to stress.
• Potato Extract (Potato Protein Liquid)
  Provides plant-based amino acids and soluble nutrients.
• Potassium sulphate
  Provides potassium and sulphur.
• Calcium carbonate
  Provides calcium to support strong cell walls and plant tissue.
• Seaweed extract
  Provides natural seaweed components and micronutrients.
• Fulvic acids (1.5%)
  Support nutrient availability and uptake.
• Silica (SiO₂) (0.5%)
  Supports strong cell walls, stems and leaves.

Packaging, transport and storage

All Garden Gold products should be stored and transported tightly closed, dry, frost-free, and protected from direct sunlight.

• Store at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C so that the stated shelf life of at least two years can be achieved.
• Avoid large or sudden temperature fluctuations, as these may cause crystals to form.
• Our products contain no preservatives. Prolonged storage under unfavourable conditions may therefore affect their stability.
• Shake or stir the product thoroughly before use to restore an even consistency.
