Dosage for the Tomato & Chile Feeding Program

15 ml = 1 tablespoon

5 ml = 1 teaspoon

Use in an alternating rhythm

• Tomato & Chile Formula
  5–15 ml per 1 liter water
  Apply as the base fertiliser through watering around the roots. Start with 5 ml for young, small, recently transplanted or sensitive plants. Use 8–15 ml for established plants during active growth, flowering and fruit development.
• Sea-Prime through watering around the roots
  5–10 ml per 1 liter water
  Use this as the standard Sea-Prime application method for regular support. Apply the diluted solution to slightly moist soil and distribute it around the root zone.
• Sea-Prime as a foliar spray
  2–5 ml per 1 liter water
  Use for fast, targeted support during active growth, recovery or when root uptake is temporarily limited by unfavourable growing conditions. Apply a light, even mist to both sides of the leaves, paying particular attention to the undersides.

Use this program in an alternating rhythm: apply Tomato & Chile Formula for one feeding, Sea-Prime for the next and then return to Tomato & Chile Formula. Continue repeating this alternating cycle throughout the feeding season. You do not need to mix or apply both products during the same feeding.

How often to use

During active growth, flowering and fruit development, follow the alternating program with one feeding every 7–10 days. Regular feeding at a suitable dosage works better than occasional heavy feeding.

Adjust the dosage and frequency according to the season, weather, pot size, plant size and rate of growth. Always apply Tomato & Chile Formula through watering around the roots, preferably to slightly moist soil.

Seasonal feeding guide

• February–April
  Start lightly
  Begin with a low dosage for young plants and gradually increase it as the plants become established and their growth strengthens.
• May–September
  Feed every 7–10 days
  Follow the alternating program regularly while plants are actively growing, flowering and developing fruit.
• October onward
  Reduce gradually
  Reduce the dosage or extend the interval between feedings as growth and fruit production slow.

Important: The highlighted months are indicative. Follow the plant’s growth stage and growing conditions rather than the calendar alone, particularly when growing under cover or in a greenhouse. Plants in pots and containers may require more regular feeding than established plants growing in open soil because nutrients can be depleted or washed out more quickly.

Sea-Prime through the roots or leaves?

For regular support within the alternating program, apply Sea-Prime through watering around the roots at 5–10 ml per 1 liter water. Foliar application at 2–5 ml per 1 liter water offers a faster, more targeted option when you want to apply Sea-Prime directly to the leaves. You do not need to use both application methods during the same Sea-Prime treatment.

Using Sea-Prime as a foliar spray

Spray preferably early in the morning or later in the day and never in full sun. Apply a light, even mist to both sides of the leaves and pay particular attention to the undersides, where most stomata are located.

Do not apply Sea-Prime as a foliar spray during strong sunlight or high temperatures, shortly before rain or when the leaves are already wet.

Important

• Always dilute the selected product with water before use.
• Shake both bottles well before use.
• Preferably use the mixed solution on the same day.
• Do not apply the solution around the roots to completely dry soil.
• Always begin with the lowest dosage for young or sensitive plants.
• Apply Tomato & Chile Formula around the roots only; do not use it as a foliar spray.
• Do not apply Sea-Prime as a foliar spray in full sun, during high temperatures or shortly before rain.
• Keep tightly closed and store in a cool, dark, dry and frost-free place between 5 °C and 30 °C.
• Natural sedimentation may occur; this is normal for products made from plant-based raw materials.

  Rich in plant-based amino acids.
• Betaine
  Supports cell structure and resistance to stress.
• Corn steep liquor
  Natural source of soluble nutrients and amino acids.
• Calcium carbonate
  Supports strong cell walls.
• Seaweed extract
  Supports plant growth and provides micronutrients.
• Fulvic acids
  Support nutrient availability and uptake.
• Silica (SiO₂)
  Supports stronger stems and branches and thicker leaves.

Packaging, transport and storage

All Garden Gold products should be stored and transported tightly closed, dry, frost-free, and protected from direct sunlight.

• Store at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C so that the stated shelf life of at least two years can be achieved.
• Avoid large or sudden temperature fluctuations, as these may cause crystals to form.
• Our products contain no preservatives. Prolonged storage under unfavourable conditions may therefore affect their stability.
• Shake or stir the product thoroughly before use to restore an even consistency.
